You're going
to need more than one bookie.
It's all very
well popping to the local Ladbrokes every Saturday morning to get
a bet on before the game but online it pays (literally) to shop
around.
Using decimal
pricing as an example, odds on an event can vary as much as half
a point. On the recent Champions League final between AC Milan and
Liverpool you could get AC Milan at 4.0 or 3.2 depending on where
you went. Backing Milan for £50 this would mean a difference
of £40 (4.0 x £50 = £200 / 3.2 x £50 = £160).
£40?! That's almost your original stake!
You're going
to need more than one bookie.
Shop around,
look at books that offer the best lines on sports that you want
to play. Premierbet are well known for great odds on straight Football
bets, Ladbrokes offer a huge range of multiple bets, William Hill
will offer odds on almost any market, Interwetten offer great Tennis
odds etc etc.
Sods law also
dictates that at some point the bookie's site will be down, there
will be a problem processing your deposit or a myriad of other technical
issues will mean you can't get the bet on that you wanted to where
you wanted to.
Trust me, you're
going to need more than one bookie.
