Payment solutions (or 'getting your money')

One of the most important things that people fail to think about when joining a bookie is how they'll get their money in and out of their account.

You may have to pay fees, currency conversion charges and have to wait up to 30 days to be able to bet or withdraw your money.

Please read the bookies T&C's regarding deposits and withdrawals very carefully before transferring any money, this is one of the most common areas of compliant and can be avoided with a bit of research.

Debit cards are an increasingly popular way to fund an online account, some bookies will want you to send copies of drivers licences, passports and even the front and back of the card, not everyone will be happy doing this.

Credit card deposits will have similar policies and in some cases you'll need to wait 30 days to withdraw any money, this is so that the funds can clear and you can't bet on credit and then withdraw more than you've deposited. If you try and withdraw more than you've deposited you may need to choose another method of withdrawal for the outstanding balance. Mastercard no longer accept funds from online bookies so you'll need to withdraw the money another way.

Neteller is an increasingly popular option for online transactions. Neteller operates like an online bank, you join them, deposit money by bank transfer or credit card and then transfer money from them to your bookie of choice and vice versa. The benefit is that they are very well trusted and regulated and your funds are available almost instantly. They will charge you for currency conversations and credit card deposits though so make sure you're aware of these fees before going ahead.

Moneybookers operates in a similar way to Neteller offering real-time instant transfer of funds. Email addresses are linked to account info so you only need one piece of information to carry out a transaction. Transfer costs apply though so again, check these out on the Moneybookers website

Webmoney is a N. American, W. European and E. European specific solution offering 'purses' in Russian, Ukrainian, Euros, and US and Canadian dollars. Funds can only be transferred from the same type of purse, to carry out an exchange into other currencies you have to buy the currency from Webmoney
